A Ceylon Tea Story,
Generations in the Making
Leaf World Ceylon is rooted in a family tea tradition that began in Sri Lanka in 1987. What started with an earlier generation's work in tea has grown through decades of experience, knowledge and respect for one of the island's most celebrated products.
Today, Leaf World carries that heritage forward for a new generation — bringing carefully selected Ceylon teas, botanicals, coffee and spices from Sri Lanka to customers around the world.
Four steps, one island
1987 is when our family's work in tea began. Leaf World is the name that work carries today.

Where our story began
Our family's journey in the tea business began in Sri Lanka in 1987, building the knowledge and experience that would eventually become part of Leaf World's foundation.
-
Then
Generations of experience
Tea knowledge was carried forward through the family — from understanding Ceylon tea and its grades to recognising the character, appearance and preparation of different selections.
-
Now
Leaf World Ceylon
Leaf World brings that experience into a modern Sri Lankan brand, making Ceylon tea and other island products easier for customers around the world to discover and understand.

Today
From Sri Lanka to the world
Leaf World combines family heritage with modern ecommerce, carefully presenting and packing our selections in Sri Lanka for customers beyond the island.
Ceylon at the Centre of Everything We Do
Sri Lanka's relationship with tea stretches back more than a century, but Ceylon tea is far from a single style. Elevation, climate, leaf style and manufacture all influence the character of the finished cup.
That diversity is part of what Leaf World wants customers to discover.
From traditional black tea grades and delicate special teas to green tea, botanical infusions, coffee and spices, our collection reflects the remarkable variety associated with Sri Lanka.
The Grade Means Something
Terms such as OPA, OP, Pekoe, FBOP, BOP and FBOPF are more than names on a packet. They describe characteristics of the made tea, including leaf appearance and particle size, and can help customers understand what to expect when selecting and brewing Ceylon tea.
At Leaf World, we believe these distinctions should be explained rather than hidden behind vague marketing names.
More of Sri Lanka, Beyond the Cup
Our collection extends beyond traditional Ceylon tea to products that reflect the botanical and culinary character of Sri Lanka — including flower and herbal infusions, coffee, Ceylon cinnamon, pepper, cardamom, cloves and selected spice preparations.
Together, they allow customers to explore more of the flavours and traditions associated with the island.
