Terms of sale
Plain terms for a small shop. Placing an order means you accept them.

Who you are buying from
Leaf World Ceylon, trading from Sri Lanka, contactable at info@leafworldtea.com.
Prices and currency
Prices are shown in the currency of the shop you have selected: US dollars for international customers, or Sri Lankan rupees for customers in Sri Lanka. The two price lists are set separately. Delivery within Sri Lanka is free. For orders sent abroad, prices exclude shipping, which is calculated at checkout, and exclude any import duty or tax charged in your country.
Items marked "Price on request" are not yet on sale online — we will quote them by email.
We may change prices at any time, but never after you have paid for an order.
Placing an order
Your order is an offer to buy. It becomes a contract when we email you a confirmation. If we cannot supply something — a line sells out, or a destination turns out to be restricted — we tell you and refund that part in full.
We may cancel an order where a price was clearly wrong, where we suspect fraud, or where exporting an item to your country is not permitted.
Payment
Payment is taken through Sampath Bank, through its Paycorp payment gateway. An order is not dispatched until they confirm settlement to us directly.
Where shipping is quoted after the order, we email you the amount and collect it before dispatch.
Delivery
We dispatch within two working days of cleared payment, with a tracking number. The delivery windows on our shipping page are estimates, not guarantees.
Risk passes to you on delivery. Title passes when we have been paid in full.
You are the importer of record. Any duty, VAT or handling fee your country charges is yours to pay.
Product information
Grades, origins and tasting notes are given in good faith and reflect what we buy. These are natural products: colour, leaf size and strength vary between harvests and will not be identical batch to batch.
Nothing on this site is medical advice. Herbal products are sold as food, not as treatment for any condition. If you are pregnant, taking medication, or managing a health condition, speak to a doctor before making a herbal infusion part of your routine.
Liability
Our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect losses. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Sri Lanka. That does not remove protections you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in.
